Situated on the north coast of Gozo about 200m from Xwenji Bay. Double Arch is a spectacular promontory whose end faces northwest.
It is part of a steeply sloping reef wall from about 15m to 40m deep that runs along the northern coast of the island of Gozo.
At the base of the promontory on the north side, the sea has pierced the rock, forming a sort of rock column rising vertically from the bottom connected to the mainland by two majestic arches or bridges.
The site attracts a lot of marine life including large predators.
In the Double Arch area we can often see a large shoal of barracuda.
